Let us introduce ourselves…

We are Jim & Cindy Wilson.

We came on board as Managers here in August 2003. On March 1, 2004 we took over ownership of this club. From our very first day on the job - we have continued to work hard daily to make improvements and add value to our memberships. We are “hands on” owners and are on-site every day making sure our customers are receiving good service.

A big part of our attraction is our small, intimate, non-intimidating qualities. And because we are small – we are well acquainted with most of our members. This is a good thing and we plan to keep it this way. The DownTown Health Club will never be oversold.

Our track record from 2003 to now shows that we have maintained about a 70% retention rate of our members. We are proud of this high retention rate, it tells us that we are doing many things right in the eyes of our customers. This success can be attributed to several factors:

  • Prompt , attentive service to each individual members needs. We are aware that 1 member here contributes as much to our success as 10 or 20 members at a larger club.
  • A clean, comfortable well-equipped & well maintained facility. These are not just words… Anything that needs cleaned, repaired, fixed or upgraded is addressed and handled immediately. Things are not left in need of attention or repair!
  • Good chemistry within our small staff.

Our business philosophy is quite different than the larger clubs. Instead of constantly trying to fill the place with a bunch of cheap memberships. We want to sign up an occasional member AND MORE IMPORTANTLY – KEEP the people we already have on board with us!!!

One of the primary ways we reward customer loyalty is by giving them a lifetime rate. After your initial contract is completed, your membership will automatically roll into a (voluntary) month to month contract at your current rate for as long as you want to remain a member! This means your rate is locked in for as long as your membership remains continuous.

I am sure you will agree that we have a very agreeable way of running a Health Club where our customers actually get more than they expect from their membership!
